BLUE Institute Labs can be found in historic and culturally rich Newport, RI where we are working with the City of Newport, and other stakeholders including our sister non-profit BLUE institute to develop the Blue Innovation Center - - phase one coming soon. Newport is not only the international hub of sailing, but it is home to a milieu of maritime companies, numerous ocean facing non-profits, Salve Regina University and the Naval War College, SENEDIA & UTIC, and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center.
BLUE Institute Labs, a woman owned public benefit corporation, is headquartered in the historic and culturally rich City of New Bedford, Massachusetts - the largest fisheries harbor in the US. New Bedford is also the home to the Massachusetts offshore wind industry and the burgeoning New Bedford Ocean Cluster of which we are proud to be affiliated.
Newport and New Bedford are considered geographic coastal centers of "Blue England." We are thrilled to be located in these coastal cities with such long histories and ties to the Blue Economy. BLUE Institute Labs, along with its non-profit sister Blue Institute, advances BlueTech and Blue Economy innovation by bringing together disparate entrepreneurs, industry, academia, government, students, and communities to grow small business, increase workforce opportunities, and to create climate solutions.
We are dedicated Team of "Silo Stormers" on a mission to advance inclusive and experiential engagement, to create more opportunities for women and BIPOC in BlueTech and the wider Blue Economy, and to support "innovation through collaboration." Join us!
BLUE Incubator meets virtually as a group twice a month. If you would like to meet, mentor, or present to our mission driven climate startups please get in touch.
